Shop: Interiors at The Patonga Cottage
Located next door to The Patonga Hotel, is the newly opened Patonga Cottage - a four bedroom house featuring classic Boathouse interiors.
The cottage can accommodate up to 10 guests and contains a kitchen, marble bathroom, open plan living, outdoor kitchen, deck + garden, fire pit + a swimming pool.
Interiors in The Patonga Cottage were designed by our Creative Director, Pip Goldsmith, and the Boathouse team. Taking inspiration from the design used in the waterside apartments next door, they wanted the cottage to exude a similar style, with a few subtle differences.
Elements like the custom orange lobster fabric that is found in the apartments, has been used in grey for bedroom cushions at the cottage.
The cottage also features custom designed bed heads, cushions and lamp shades, as seen in the Hotel apartments and the guest rooms at Barrenjoey House.

The gardens + landscaping were designed by Andrew Goldsmith and the Boathouse garden team. The design features signature Boathouse elements such as river pebbles, white terrazzo pots, tropical palms, bromeliads and succulents. Along one side of the garden, there’s a row of iconic Norfolk pines which provide the cottage and back entertaining area with much-needed shade during the warmer months.
No matter where you are in the cottage, pops of greenery can be seen through each window, immersing you in the natural surrounds and beauty of Patonga.
